We've revolutionized the world of psychological profiling...AND taken it light years further!
Team Interplay not only offers individual profiling, but "cross-matching" of two, three, six, eight or more profiles. We'll tell you EXACTLY how your DNA's line up... whether it be an individual, a relationship, a team or even an entire company profile. We will also highlight potential strengths, soft spots, and what to do about them.
#1:   What is individual, relational, or team DNA?
Bio Chemists describe DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) as the completely unique "genetic code" that distinguishes every living thing.

Organizational Behavioral scientists have been able to measure the uniqueness of "genetic code" of that describes and drives human behavior at work. Building on the extensive work of other Organizational Behavior scientists, Dr John Brunstetter has determined that every individual, team, and company has a unique "personality, or "chemistry". His INTR*PLAY DNA Profile. or "genetic code" can be used to measure what drives individuals, relationships, teams and organizations.
#2:   Why is Team DNA important in the work environment?
You can't improve what you can't measure! Measuring and understanding the "genetic DNA code" that underpin individuals, relationships, teams and organizations is critical to building higher performing teams and individuals.
  • Each relationship also has inborn and pre-wired strengths and conflicts. For example, Kim may perform at her best when she gets ongoing performance feedback from Ken her supervisor. Ken however is most productive when giving only minimal feedback to subordinates. For Kim and Ken to function at their best they need a process that IDENTIFIES and RESOLVES these potential "genetic" conflicts as early as possible.

  • Teams and Organizations also have inborn and genetic strengths by the kind and manner of people involved and their mission. Teams/ Companies also have inborn conflicts which predate the formation of the team. For example, if Karen is on a project team and she and all her teammates want to be in control of the project there will be inherent conflict that needs resolution. Only when this control issue (or other genetic issues) is resolved can her team's strengths be examined and fully exploited. A process for identifying and resolving team weaknesses, conflicts and blind spots must be implemented for a team/ company to continuously function at its best.
#3:   Describe what is "healthy" Individual, Relationship, or Team DNA?
  1. "Healthy" individuals are:
    • Keenly aware of their own DNA.
    • Continually assessing and improving themselves
  2. "Healthy" relationships are:
    • "Healthy" individuals who know one another's "genetic" predispositions and needs.
    • Consistently open and trusting with each other
    • Committed to a Relationship Development Plan.
  3. The most significant factors that characterizes "healthy" teams are:
    • Team leader - team member relationships are open and trusting.
    • Genetic conflicts are continually identified and resolved
    • Team member relationships are strong and also open and trusting
    • Ongoing team development is a required feature of team life.
  4. The signposts for a Healthy "Cultures" are:
    • A "healthy" CEO and his/ her passion to breed healthy individuals, relationships and teams in his/ her company.
    • A dynamic corporate "organizational development plan"
    • An employee selection and placement system whereby only those who BEST FIT the culture are hired
    • A "Culture of Success" where individuals, relationships and teams share the credit and rewards of success.
#4   How do you "fix" someone's DNA?
Behavioral DNA is a genetic and in some ways learned "predisposition" to behave in a certain manner at work. Therefore, only the individual can "fix" his/ her own individual DNA. "Fixing" must begin with self-awareness because we all have "blind spots" that unknowingly either help us or hurt us. For example, Vince may not realize that he is a poor listener until someone he trusts gives him constructive (DNA) feedback. He then has some choices to make. Does he accept or reject the feedback? If he accepts it does he want to do something about it? If he wants to improve his listening behavior how much effort is he willing to make? With whom will he confide about his needs?

"Fixing" DNA puts awareness into action through any variety of activities including self-help, coaching and training. Often the most critical step is AWARENESS (Measurement) because Vince(above) can't work on what he doesn't know or believe is a problem.

Fixing relationships and teams is also possible beginning with mutual:
  • Awareness
  • Measurement
  • Commitment to change
  • SMART Action Plans
#5:   How can anyone measure individual, relational and team DNA?
Psychometrics is the branch of Behavioral Science that uses self-report data to describe and predict behavioral tendencies and "genetic" pre-dispositions. The INTR感LAY DNA Profile series is based on 20 years of organizational research with over 30 thousand people in organizations worldwide. Dr. John Brunstetter and his ODS team of trained professionals have been honing the INTR感LAY DNA Profiles and their supporting "tools" since 1985. The tools have both high "face" validity and statistical validity. i.e., participants continually confirm the accuracy of INTR感LAY in describing what makes them tick and how to make meaningful improvement.

#6:   How does the INTR感LAY DNA Profile work? Why is it so effective?
Individuals take the INTR感LAY DNA Profile online in about 13 minutes. Results are instantaneously scored using the INTR感LAY database and results are put in a 9-page graphic and narrative profile. Individual Profiles can then be automatically "matched" with selected partners and/or teams to determine closeness of fit. Self-directed instruction includes a step-by-step workbook, CDs and other learning material depending on the application selected.

The Profile and it's various applications have been field tested and honed with countless individuals, relationships and teams world-wide. Users say that INTR感LAY is more accurate, more fun and more effective in creating meaningful change that any tool(s) they have ever experienced.

The INTR感LAY DNA gets to the heart of what makes people tick in a safe but powerful way. INTR感LAY tools allow the individual(s) involved to take control of their own genetic coding and become laser-focused on specific factors that need improvement.

Most importantly, the INTR感LAY DNA Profile provides a COMMON LANGUAGE by which individuals, relationships and teams can build openness and trust.
